Tallahassee to Madison

We had a day of rest in Tallahassee and it rained most of the afternoon with the usual thunder and lightening show. Kathy has joined us and the Biker Chicks are taking off today with the ground very wet and its sprinkling. We rode on the St. Marks Bike Trail and the Natural Bridge road it was very pleasant and scenic and getting chilly and wetter. After almost 50 miles we stopped for lunch wanting to get some miles in before the rain became torrential. For lunch we sat under the eave of a building blocking the wind and rain. It was so cold when we got back on the bikes, most of our warmer clothing is packed or sent home. Luckily it didn't rain any heavier so we continued, however, it was the coldest it has been in a long time 20 degrees cooler than normal.

Sorry to miss you in Tallahassee, but not sorry to miss the rain. It's been pretty wet in Atlanta this week, with more predicted for this weekend. Too bad, because we're going to Athens for the Georgia Tandem Rally. Enjoy the nice cool weather, though. That's a treat this time of year!
