Sunday Apr. 5 it is cool and windy a few more of our friends are going to be riding with us today. They said it was easy to find our hotel because of my Pink bike rack it is very noticeable (thank you Steve and Al T). We are taking the scenic back roads and they are spectacular did I mention it was WINDY the gust were around 30 miles an hour and were coming across the road. Most of the day we had head winds it was a long day had a picnic lunch somewhere in the desert near Ocotillo Wells. We rode 72 miles with 1191 feet of climbing. Met a man from Germany cycling with a bob-trailer.

Hi Dee and Maria,
You must have had a rough day! I know how windy it was at our house, I can just imagine how it was where you were. I hope Monday is easier. Keep on pedaling!
Lisa
Thanks for keeping us updated daily. I wish I was riding with you! Wishing you calmer winds today. At least it's not raining!!
Good pictures, Dee. I really enjoyed the ride with you and Maria. And the Mexican food after!
Dee and Maria:
Very exciting to watch your ride from Julian to brawley. You were riding at a fast pace. You will be in St Augustine before you know it.
Linda
